Spirit II: Fight for Freedom (part 8)Spirit: With his head still tilted sideways in a skeptical manner, the great mustang watched as the Indian bravely tested the ice. His ears perked forward, listening to how the ice groaned and shifted with each step. Although he expected that to happen and the ice to give way, it never did. Perhaps the ice was stronger than it looked, at least he hoped so... but something inside him still nagged to stay away. Still, he watched as Little Creek went further and further out onto the frozen river. When the young brave was half way out, he saw Little Creek was calling to him. Spirit II: Fight for Freedom (part 7)Transform: It's the next morning. The sun is beginning to rise and the rooster is crowing. The old Wrangler had stayed all night with the three horses, watching over all of them. He loved horses and wanted this lovely little filly to survive. He had allowed his partner to retire during the middle of the night. He could easily watch over the filly himself. He made sure she had plenty of blankets to keep warm. It was not difficult to admit that seeing an orphan foal bonding with the only other foal here at the ranch was indeed a sweet sight, and the mare accepting the shy, yet curious colt. Spirit II: Fight for Freedom (part 5)Through most of the day the two galloped across the searing desert and passed sage bush after sage bush, before finally slowed down for nothing. Both man and mustang were focused on reaching the tree line, but for the time being it seemed like the desert would go on forever. As the day wore on to evening, the two realized they were almost near their goal. The land slowly transformed from dry, cracked ground to a more lush land with tussocks of green grass scattered about and the further they traveled, the more patches of snow they saw. The snow and the moisture the snow provided would help, for snow always left behind tell-tale tracks. NeareSpirit II: Fight for Freedom (part 5) by ~AlissaD

Spirit II: Fight for Freedom (part 6)Transformation: Show that the morning is still young, but obviously some time has passed. Show to begin an overhead view of the forest and in the middle of a small opening, two small figures staring each other down. Slowly zoom in, until there is a face view of Spirit with his head low, ears pinned and nostrils flared as he tries to take in as much air as he can. A smattering of blood covers his muzzle. He stares forward, unmoving. Slowly zoom out and show his entire body from a head on view. His legs shaking slightly, his sides heaving with each gasp for breath, and his body littered with cuts and wounds.
